I posted in the C/C++/C# forum. I want to learn code, and to create code. I was directed to start with Visual Basic. Anyone have any sights or online programs/text I can start on. Understand I know nothing and am starting with a fresh slate.

Actually, I suggested that c or c++ would be better, but if you'd like to start with VB, Visual Studio is always a good IDE for development, and you can get a beginner's overview of vb here. The only real key is to have fun with what you're doing. smile.gif

Yea, I got an email from someone else. I am going to start with C. I think I will have fun with this. I will try it and see where I get.

Personally from experiance I would give you the advice of starting with visual basic. Its fairly simple and fun. I guess you'd kinda have to like math and computers to be able to enjoy either C or VB. smile.gif

- try them both, you'll kno after a week or two weather or not its good for you! smile.gif

I'd say learn C/C++ first and then move on to VB.
Because if you do so viceversa, you'll start hating C/C++ since you can do the same job in vb (most of the times) in lesser time than in C++.

If you learn C++ first you will be able to appreciate the best of both worlds. So...good decision there MaxKillJoy
