I am going to submit this project for review. I would appreciate the ideals you have for the way the form should look, what type of controls would be best to use etc. I am a student at a community college. I went back to school at age 49 and took a course in visual basic 6.0 and became interested. This is my first project and I would like to make a good grade.

I have not started the program yet. I am only looking for suggestions on how to set it up for the form layout.

I'm certainly no VB expert, but I will speak up on this...if you're programming some sort of form meant for user interaction, I'd advise something simple and direct. Of course, the final layout will depend on what your program is actually meant to do (I did not see any information on that). Overall, however, you can't go wrong with simple...present the user with as few 'choices' as possible, and make any buttons self-evident - both in look and function. Remember to validate any input taken in by a user.

Im sure if you post more of a topic for us we can give you better ideas as to what you can include in your program. I mean you could create a numerous amount of programs in visual basic if you have an open topic.

Well, after reading the assignment parameters, I'd design this one to look like your average order entry system...customer information at the top, order information below...one input box for each piece of information..perhaps a user friendly display screen for an user messages that need to be communicated (no stock, error in calculation etc..). Give it a go, and repost...we can offer more suggestions.
