i need to know if it possible to write a procedure in the click event of the close button that is there inthe top right corner of most windows.

Well, I know you can disable it no problem (vb6 example). Are you working with vb or vb.net?

Well, I'm not aware of any way to write a procedure in a click event for the x button, but you could probably use the form_unload sub to run any code you wish to have executed when the window closes.

i tried doing that. it doesnt work.
do msgboxes appear when it is called from the form_unload event.

hoe jannish II, if you have pascal software, you can use an application to change or delete the exit button on the top right which you wanted to do. This way you can write your code in vb apfter changing the values in the application...later II
