Well, it really depends on your defintion of easier, for me, I picked C++ as it was one of the first languages I learned, have been using it for many years, so it's second nature to me...therefore easier. I guess I found java easier to learn, becuase I already knew C++, and they are very similar...

I chose Java because it has a lot more libraries to use than C++, although you can import those libraries for C++ usage through various methods. Java was my first language that I learned so I have a preference to it.

The structures of languages are basically the same, and Java and C++ are at equal programming level I think.

Except C++ is not ponderously slow and prone to resource destroying memory leaks like Java is...

j/k...just kidding...many of those problems have been at least partially addressed in the last release of the JRE... smile.gif

True enough...but since the end goal of the poll is to use the results for a statistics assignment, I don't suppose actual motivations amtter.
