hi...anybody can help me...i want to program for information system that will verify user using thumbprint.
so now, i need help how to read input through thumbprint reader..means how to communicate with thumbprint reader.

main function:
1) save thumbprint into database
2)verify user

Most speciaized periferals come with their own drivers and functions and .com .net or .dll files which allow you to read their device's output. Like everthing else with a computer this is usually a stream of data. Contact the manufacturer of your device to learn which refernces you need to make and how to access the underlying code results. it usually is a simple class call or function call.
