Dear All,

To start with, i got this assignment to finish. The problem is that, i'm not quite sure whether VB can do this job or not. I need some roughly idea please.
I got sensor to detect light measurement and convert it to digital, and the data will send wirelessly to the receiver. Then from the receiver, i will using RS232 cable (or possibly USB if anyone think it easier). Then, this is the problem where i'm not sure with. Can or can't VB take the data and display it at the same time.
For example;

This is just example, The measurement of the light in analog is 5V. Then, I want it to display using VB 5V or something. The data will keep changing between let say from 0-10V.

Most of the book i read seem like showing me to do database and calculation. I need someone can tell me that It is possible for VB to do this work. If possible, any references will be appreciated. Thanks all.

As you mentioned, use C to get and store the info, and parallel to C running program, you could make VB reading/manipulating/displaying that info.

As you might want to do it only in VB, i do like to mention that, it should be a lot easier by the way mentioned before. rolleyes.gif

If so, i will use VB only instead combine with c. But you got any link as a reference as i can't find any book that tell me that you can collect data from and display it. Thanks
