have a look at
http://sage.mc.yu.edu/kbeen/teaching/netwo...es/sockets.html
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/ne...kets/index.html

the second is on Java sockets but is good introduction to basic concepts

Read this...

http://beej.us/guide/bgnet/output/htmlsingle/bgnet.html

The tutorials for sockets are very confusing. sad.gif

I think I have figured out how to do the very basic http client finally, after a few weeks.

Well the program needs to act as client and server then. Probably should be multithreaded I think though I don't know how to do that yet. :-p
