For my computing coursework i must set up a database system for a real user.

I managed to get a job from my art teacher, which involves creating a system by which files on the network are easier to find, this shouldnt be too hard.

Now, the problem i see coming up very quickly will be: how do i allow multiple users to access and edit the same database at the same time?

Well if you're using SQL Server you don't really have much to worry about, it allows for nearly unlimited concurrent connections no problem. Now if you're using Access, I believe the maximum concurrent connections is 10 I believe.

We have application at work (that we wrote) that have as many as 200+ people at once connected to our SQL Server.
