Hi.
I have to make a game like Fifteen, where you have to move bloks in a square 4x4 to get numbers in order(1..15), only i have the same with a picture.
Wanted to know if theres a library or something to get normal pictures into the C.
If not most probably i will just have to make some kind of image and use that.
Other question is how to divide an image into user named parts.

there are lots of graphics libraries out there, what compiler are you using and what platform are you developing for?

Well im using BorlandC 3.1. Im a begginer with this. Just started to learn smile.gif Well i know how to programm and so, only im not familiar with the functions and other possibilities in C.
I wanted to know is there a way i could load a .jpeg or .bin or other image file which i can see with windows programs.

And i have to to make it in X*X format (which is specified by the user, when playing game) Well user tells in how many pieces to split the image. And i have no idea how to do that.

well the there are many formats that are pretty easy to deal with (BMP is really the first one I learned to use, and tends to be my fall back). If you wan to work with JPEG images ... well I was going to say that there are lots of libraries out there, but my initial scans of the internet didn't find as many as there used to be... (whatever happened to programmershaven.com, it used to have TONS of libraries).

I think that LibGD seems like a nice open source C image library. This is where I would probably start.
