That doesn't sound like a VB problem to me.

Does it reboot in safe mode?

I'll reask the same question as Flynn, does it start in safe-mode?

Had you made any changes to the system? Any installation, internet activity, driver updates?

Well we could uses a little more details of what you have done to try and solve the issue. A couple questions:
1. Do you get the part were you reformat your drive in windows? If so did you choose quick?
2. When you installed windows what errors showed up or problems? Did you get it to install but the same problem? Or did it not install?
3. Do you have a name brand computer (Dell, HP, Sony,ec..)?

The problem you described is a common error with windows which and be because due to some of the fallowing:
1. Bad drivers
2. Corrupt Files
3. Hardware failure (Hard drive starts dieing or other device)
4. Bad memory (Normally would see a blue screen with memory error address but sometimes it dose not)
5. Bad sectors on hard drive

Do you have a legal Windows or cracked copy? Maybe something is wrong with this. Bad Windows CD or bad downloaded copy. :S

I countered something like that, But I was able to get into Safe Mode.
It was the NTUSER.DAT in C:\Documents and Settings\my user name.
I don't know how or why this happend but when I created a new user at Safe Mode and replace the new (NTUSER.DAT) file with the old one, the system starts like a charm.
Anyway You maybe loose some user's settings if you do that.

It’s a good solution.
It’s something like when somebody breaks my (Window) I have to go and buy a new Apartment (Mac) blink.gif
You have to be so rich if you will always fix things that way.
Anybody can tell me what mac can do and windows can not?

very true you would have to be rich. very rich but as for all you other arguments I can answer those. but hey I only got an ancient mac and a ancient PC. its the family mac
that is any good. so really I cant say anything.
I spoke out of turn.
i use windows all the time they have some very powerfull toons like visual studios .net
and they are allot easier to use than linux. mac osx is just a version of linix that i like allot. so it is not as beginner friendly as windows ether.
so use what you like. if your like me you try to use it all!! smile.gif

and good luck with your computer
