D.I.C Head Joined: 9 Oct, 2007 Posts: 177 My Contributions	Hi, is there any snippets of code on DIC that show how to put a basic icon in the system tray in c++? My efforts have resulted in an icon that dissapears when i touch it with the mouse which isnt really what i was after

D.I.C Head Joined: 9 Oct, 2007 Posts: 177 My Contributions	I'm using Windows XP. "Vanilla c++???" - ive never herd of this, is it a compiler or does it mean am i using basic code? Anyway i use Borland C+ builder 6 and my knowledge isnt the best so i would say basic Another edit ..... right i think i understand what you mean by vanilla but i think im using managed c++ - and example of my code - CODE __fastcall TForm1::TForm1(TComponent* Owner) : TForm(Owner) This post has been edited by tootypegs: 22 Jan, 2008 - 12:29 AM

I think I may have some old source code that does this. If I come across it I'll post it here.

Vanilla being the cooking flavouring that many consider "neutral" or "nothing fancy" Not-vanilla C++ would be like Visual C++... Using Managed C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio. So, in short, "Vanilla C++" wouldn't be "basic code" like you said, but ANSI/ISO C++.
