Hi, is there any snippets of code on DIC that show how to put a basic icon in the system tray in c++? My efforts have resulted in an icon that dissapears when i touch it with the mouse which isnt really what i was after

If that doesn't help, I'm thinking that the API call is NotifyIcon. I think I may have some old source code that does this. If I come across it I'll post it here.

"Vanilla C++" is a bit of a geeky word for "unchanged"... Vanilla being the cooking flavouring that many consider "neutral" or "nothing fancy"

Not-vanilla C++ would be like Visual C++... Using Managed C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio.

So, in short, "Vanilla C++" wouldn't be "basic code" like you said, but ANSI/ISO C++. smile.gif
