There are several on the web that do this from "Blackle.com" to 3rd party developers creating their own black theme Google. The big thing behind it is that a while page actually causes your computer to use more energy than a black page (so it is rumored... Google Denies it though). So in the hopes of being an energy saving person, people are turning to black versions of Google to save energy. Just keep in mind that many of these other sites are NOT Google themselves so anything you search for (like your name) could be tracked back to you. Use with caution.
