hi
i am running a project in Vb6 and sql server 2005 with crystal report version 7. now i want to replace version 7 with version 12. please let me know how to replace CR version 7. what are dll's to be added in the reference and ocx in the components and how to remove CR 7 ocx. I am having aroung 400 reports and i am using around 50 CR 7 controls. so i am not able to remove the ocx from the VB project.

thanks in advance

I am not sure on which DLLs you will need to make the transfer; but I worry about making the version changes. I have found in my experience that crystal does not always work well when it comes to version upgrades and backwards compatibility. I would be careful when making this conversion; especially looking at the vast amount of reports you have. I would be sure to be 100% you have back ups when you make the update (I've had later versions of Crystal completly destroy my reports to the point where they could not be saved and had to be recreated).

Sorry I couldn't be much help with your question about the DLLs sad.gif
