Mysql And Asp, Adding records

g++ -o drink whiskey.cpp Joined: 12 Jul, 2002 Posts: 12,355 Thanked: 51 times Dream Kudos: 25 My Contributions	I've got extensive experience with Access and SQLServer, but have just begun using MySQL. I'm wondering if the rs.AddNew and rs.Update methods are supported by MySQL, or whether records must be added using an INSERT statement. Thanks in advance for any help.

cur tu me vexas? Joined: 9 Nov, 2001 Posts: 1,723	I guess there's only one way to find out if it will work ;) I always use the insert statement; I've never tried the other way. However, I can tell you that I rarely have to make any changes between SQL Server and MySQL. In fact, the only thing I can think of that I've had to do differently is formatting double quotes for MySQL.

Yeah, the insert statement is way more efficient, I just sometimes use the AddNew and Updates for certain things. I've tried it with MySQL, but it hasn't worked yet. I assume that my cursor type is wrong, so a little experimenting is in order. Thanks for the help.
