i've finished Sam's learn c++ in 21 days. what would you recommend i read next? c++ in 21 days recommends Sam's c++ unleashed(for obvious reasons), while i've heard that accelerated c++ is quite a gem. as well, if theres a book that [effectively] teaches win32 programming(preferably with c++), i'd be interested in hearing about it.

i'm also interested in your opinion of the quality of the content and code examples of learn c++ in 21 days.

lastly, i definitely would prefer the book had GOOD, WORKING(standard-complying) code examples(preferably the whole shebang as opposed to snippets)

Obviously to genuinely gain an appreciation and talent for programming in any language it takes more than 21 days. 21 days seems to be a gimmick which is not just prevalent in the area of programming, but in anything I notice which takes a great deal of time and effort put in. That being said the book itself is a great way to get involved and get some basic information. I am not harping on the book, just on the fact that 21 days is thrown in there to appeal to people (me included as well) to speed up the learning process.

With all of that said, I've never had the best luck with learning through a lot of programming books, but of course as with anything one must learn by doing and programming seems to be the epitome of this. Of course you must have ammunition for you to put forth on paper.
