Hey all

MusicMe.fm is my side project that I have been working on for a while now. But it is at the stage where I need some testers to help me out. (But is still in alpha)

IPB Image

What is MusicMe?
MusicMe.fm is a site that allows to upload your music collection and then access it from anywhere in the world through our online player.

What OS do I need to run MusicMe? E.g Pc or Mac?
As first.fm is built with web technologys, it is totally platform independent. (Means it runs on Win, Mac and Lynux)

What I need
I need people to signup, start using the site and give some feedback.
If you are interested please siginup using the invitation code dreamincode.

You cannot signup without an invitation code.

The sign ups from dream in code will be limited to 25. (this is because MusicMe is still an alpha release and who knows what will happen)

We have adopted a release early release often method for the development of MusicMe.

Also. thoughts and comments are more than welcome.

I hope you will help us out

Thanks Paul

double post for the loss.

however :

the site is ultra-professional. team work ? , this can't be just you unless you have no life.

i'm going to absolutely nit-pick you since everything is clean and doesn't need touching :
1. integration with wp is a little off. the captcha doesn't fit and it doesn't flow as smoothly as the rest of the site.
2. I registered, got the e-mail, went to the site and logged-in to a WP login window. after log-in to main site registration still exists in navigation, just a tiny thing but i didn't recognize i was logged in. Was I? Since i still had to log-in when I got to the media player.
3. later more to come

haven't used yet will tonight on home computer.

there is a similar site i used in the past backed by a pretty big vc that is currently getting sued majorly by some labels.... i don't remember the name.....

so might just want to protect yourself otherwise you may be labeled as a copywritten content hoster.

Have noticed a few errors (haven't registered yet, may in the future). First off, in IE6 the top banner/nav seems to be off center and repeats the BG making it look a little off. Second, when you goto the music player and it asks for a login, if you click the "Don't have a login..." link nothing happens.

I also noticed that on the register page the logo (when clicked) goes to first fm and not music me, so you may want to change that (since first fm seems to be parked on by go daddy atm). I would also suggest increasing the width of the registration page, at least enough to have the CAPTCHA fit correctly.

The skin (overall) looks nice and professional. Good work

JBrace1990 - thanks.

BetaWar - I will look into all of those.. the first.fm is a rellic of the first system. Someone brought the domain 2 days before I put it on the net. But a quick rebrand and I was way.

Hi,

Yeh looks amazing!

I've now registered and noticed a few things:

- My registration email to my hotmail account went to my junk folder
- If you refresh the 'myPlayer' once it is loaded you are asked to log in again; maybe intentional though? Doubt many people will refresh it but I did because I was testing my third point...
- If you resize the playlists box scroll bars (both horizontal and vertical appear) but surely they are unnecessary since in my playlists box I just have my music. I haven't changed the height at all but a vertical bar appears. Very small issue but thought I'd mention it
- I had to allow pop-ups to follow links when in myPlayer (using Firefox 3)
- I uploaded a very small mp3 and a larger one, both via the single upload method, and once completed nothing happened, they haven't appeared in myPlayer. I tried single and double click on my music but no change to the right hand side box
- In FAQ under 'Who is responsible for musicMe?' there is a typo; "If you wan to help out..."
- Not completely sure how, but I managed to drag the playlist box far larger than anyone would ever want it:

Anyway hope that helps for now, I'll let you know if I find any other issues.

Cheers,
Ed
