Whats the difference, Is BASIC and Visual Basic the same

can you use the same compilers for them both?

Thank You in advnace. oh and if they are different can someone tell me where to take some tutorials on beginner BASIC?

BASIC and Visual Basic are sharing together only a part of their names and the basic syntax. Visual Basic is the 'next step' after BASIC, as it supports object-oriented programming and many other new features, so the old compiler cannot be used to compile newer programs.

If you mean old BASIC, can't say anything. If you mean Visual Basic (or Visual Basic .NET - a newer version of VB), then you can take a look at </dream.in.code> Visual Basic Tutorials or </dream.in.code> Visual Basic Tutorials
