I'm creating an application that has user input into several forms windows.

I'm using the validating functions to check for correct user input into several text boxes etc.

My problem is that when i push the 'X' in the top right of the window to exit the program, the click calls the validation methods and the window wont' close unless i have valid input in my text boxes.

Since the 'X' button isn't an object i can't turn its 'CauseValidation' property to false.

how can i get the 'X' button to not call the validation functions?

thanks

each object has its own 'validating' event function. So when i press the "next" button(or equivelant) it calls all the 'validating' functions on the window.

the problem is that pressing the 'X' calls these functions as well and i don't know how to make it stop.
