I want to start programming in Java and know exactly nothing about it. What I want to know is what do you use to program in Java, Where to Download the Program.

You can download the Java Developer Kit free from Sun. Also, Textpad is a nice editor to use. You can download a free trial version at textpad.com. Enjoy!

I suggest using eclipse, it is a free powerful editor, a bit like visual C++ but for Java. eclipse.org I believe.

Um, that isn't very specific so:

Java download page
(I'd recommend downloading JDK 6 Update 7)

NetBeans IDE
(A widly known free IDE used in making Java, C, C++, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, PHP, JavaScript, aswell as other, programs)

Offical Sun Java Tutorials

The Sun tutorials are brilliant, but will only get you so far. I recommend getting a good book so you can understand it in more detail.
