HI I bought a kit but wanted to get a good resource on programming chips that can be programmed.

like a cpld chip.

and fpga chips.

I want to understand how these things work.

any good tutorials on this or any good website that has alot of resources on this topic.

As I know, to program fpga chips you can use various programming languages like vhdl, verilog and abel. I recommend vhdl since it is easier to use, I think, and here are some websites that I visit when I have some trouble.

if you wanna start i think PIC microcontrollers are good point to start.. lot of reference material available on the microchip.com and other places
