My program is to connect between server and client. The server is always listening to the connection established. While client should connected to the server in every 5 minutes automatically without pressing any button. Right now, the client could make a connection to the server in every 5 minutes automatically. But the problem is the client's IP could not be sent together while the connection established. The client's IP address should be automatically sent together while connection established. I would be very much appreciate if teh expert can help me.

I had a hard time reading your post and still a little confused... Well anyways I remember myself programming with winsock with vb6.. ahh good old days.. Anyways if your client is connected to the server you don't need to send a packet with the IP from the client to the server because once a connection is made.. The property RemoteHost and RemotePort of the server socket is filled in. The remotehost being the ip of the client and the remote port being the clients port. I haven't programmed with vb and the winsock component for few months now, but I think I got it right. cool.gif
Edit: Just noticed this post was on jul 13 2004.. All I got to say is... blink.gif
